We are a creative hub in the heart of Baixa Pombalina. Beyond a bed, we offer a lifestyle: you can start your day with a continental buffet, enjoy live music every night at the Art Stay Restaurant, and end with a signature cocktail at our Ruby Rosa 1920s-inspired speakeasy rooftop.
Will my room look exactly like the photos?
Not necessarily and that’s the beauty of it! As an art-focused hotel, our rooms are uniquely decorated. While the room type and features remain the same, the art and soul of each space vary, making every stay a one-of-a-kind gallery experience.
Why do you call yourself a "living gallery"?
Because art isn’t just on our walls; it’s in our DNA. From the unscripted decor of each room to the creative energy in our social spaces, we’ve ditched the “cookie-cutter” hotel model to offer an immersive visual experience that feels like a private collection.
Is it quiet at night?
You’re in the heart of the action! While we have soundproofing, we are a vibrant hotel with live music and a rooftop bar in the most lively district of Lisbon. If you’re looking for total silence, we might be too much fun for you but if you want to be where the heart beats, you’re home.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is until 11:00 AM. If you arrive early or want to linger a bit longer, we can store your luggage for you.
Can the hotel store my luggage?
Absolutely! Don’t let your bags hold you back from exploring. We’re happy to store them safely for you before you check in or after you’ve checked out.
Can you help me plan my Lisbon itinerary?
We do more than just hand out maps. Our team can curate your entire stay: from booking a private Tuk-Tuk tour and airport transfers to suggesting the best hidden spots. If it’s authentic and local, we’ll help you find it.
Is it possible to add an extra bed to my room?
Yes, we can add one extra bed per room in specific categories: Studio Superior, Pombalino, and Pombalino Superior. This service is available upon request for an additional fee (breakfast not included).
Are pets allowed?
We love animals, but to ensure a comfortable and allergy-free stay for everyone, the hotel is a pet-free zone.
Is smoking allowed in the hotel?
To keep our spaces fresh and creative for everyone, the Lisbon Art Stay is a smoke-free hotel. This applies to all rooms, balconies, and indoor social areas. Please be aware that a €500 cleaning fee applies for smoking indoors, so we kindly ask you to use the designated outdoor areas instead.

Are you located in the city center?
We are right in the heart of it! You’ll find us in the historic Baixa Pombalina, just steps away from the Santa Justa Lift, Rossio Square, and the Arco da Rua Augusta.
How do I get to the hotel from the airport?
You can take the Metro (Red Line to Green Line, exit at Baixa-Chiado or Rossio) or book a private transfer through our reception for a more comfortable arrival. We’re about 8km (~25 min) from Humberto Delgado Airport.
Eat & Drink
Does the hotel offer breakfast?
Yes! We serve a continental buffet daily at the Art Stay Restaurant & Bar. You can fuel up for your Lisbon adventures from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Pricing: Breakfast is €15 for adults and €10 for children up to 10 years old. We always include vegetarian and vegan options to make sure everyone starts the day right.
Where can I find the famous 'Bifanas do Afonso'?
Right at your doorstep! We’ve partnered with this local legend to bring Lisbon’s most iconic pork sandwich to our ground floor.
